Rom 4:20-21  Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,  (21)  being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Abraham was too old to have children, and Sarah was barren. Not only that: How do you turn a son or two into “many nations,” which God had promised Abraham that he would be the father of? It all seemed totally impossible. Therefore, Abraham’s faith glorified God by being fully assured that he could and would do the humanly impossible. This is the faith we are called to have. That God will do for us what we could never do for ourselves. Faith is the confidence in what what we hope for and the certainty of what is unseen.

Ecc 1:18  For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief. Ecc 10:1-3  As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honour.  (2)  The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.  (3)  Even as fools walk along the road, they lack sense and show everyone how stupid they are. Meanwhile, Solomon said in Proverbs Pro 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. In Eccl 1:18 Solomon refers to worldly wisdom, while Prov 1:7 Solomon refers to Godly Knowledge and Wisdom. Eccl 10:1-3 contrasts between Godly Wisdom against foolishness of worldly wisdom. The tie between “wisdom,” “knowledge,” and the “fear of the LORD” suggests that “knowledge” is more than mere information but centers in the comprehension of God’s will and…

Rom 8:17  Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. The prerequisite of living a life for God as His children in His presence involves the death of Christ to be heir of the inheritance in the Kingdom of God. We are co-heir with Christ’s inheritance if we suffer with Him and hence rise up with Him on His return. As God-man, Lord Jesus is the mediator, who reconciles us to God. His death appeases God’s wrath and fixes our natural enmity towards God. His work on the Cross brings about peace with God, allowing God to be glorified, as well as, restoring the goodness, beauty, order and harmony of God’s creation.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. In Christ, we live an abiding life, whereby the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and we in Him, by grace through faith and obedience in the Word of God In Christ, there no longer exists an impediment to entering the presence of God if one goes through Jesus Christ. His flesh, slain and risen, becomes the way or entrance into the Most Holy Place. In Christ. the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Psa 91:1-2 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (2) I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Life is perplexing. While a triumphant life is assured ensuing from God’s promises to guard and guide us through the evils of this life, it is also troubling at the same time due to the invariable presence of suffering and uncertainties. The fact that our victory in this world is so partial forces us to look more deeply at Psalm 91. God’s purpose for giving us both prosperity and adversity is in order that we fear Him. It is only in Christ where we find true rest in perfect peace and inner strength. “Fear of the Lord” denotes true worship, trusting and obeying God’s Will and humble service to magnify His…

John 3:19  This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. We love the darkness so that we can keep on doing what we want without exposure. In this condition, the mind becomes a factory of idols — a fountain of half-truths and lies — anything to protect the evil desires of the heart from exposure and destruction. Our hearts are deceitful. Examine our selves daily

Col_2:8  See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. To live, as we do, in a highly sophisticated, technological society brings with it many benefits and animal comforts. It is not surprising, therefore, that all sorts of occult philosophies and religions are gaining ground in society. Man, who is made in the image of God, must have a spiritual explanation for his own existence. Biblical faith affirms that God has revealed all that is necessary to bring us into a living relationship with Himself and to enable us to travel through this world into His presence.

Mat 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the Earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? Its No longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. (14) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (15) Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (16) In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.” All that God is working in us, he wants to work out, in the world. Too often our Christian gatherings and activities are wrongly introspective. God’s heart is for the lost world. and he wants to turn us loose in it as people who…

1 Sam 25:8-9  Ask your young men—they’ll tell you. What I’m asking is that you be generous with my men—share the feast! Give whatever your heart tells you to your servants and to me, David your son.’”  (9)  David’s young men went and delivered his message word for word to Nabal. Nabal tore into them,  (10)  “Who is this David? Who is this son of Jesse? The country is full of runaway servants these days. We can return evil for good. Nabal did that when he refused to share his food with David’s men. His name means “fool, ” and that is exactly what he was.
