Php 2:12-13 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed–not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence–continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (13) for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Salvation is evidenced through the personal victory of the believers and the unity of the church. This outworking of the spiritual reality is to be done “with fear and trembling,” i.e. a work that is energized and animated through the fear of the Lord. God works in us so that we could do His good pleasure and accomplish His good purpose. Both divine enablement and human responsibility are involved in getting God’s work done. We become partners with God, laboring together with Him. God causes His own both willing and desirous to do His work.

Deu 7:11-12 Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today. (12) If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. If the nation of Israel is obedient to the Lord she will experience His covenantal love. Though God will not abandon the covenant because of His promises to the patriarchs, the people could forfeit the blessings of the covenant through their own disobedience. Likewise, the same is true to those under the New Covenant.

Deu 29:29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. Moses explains that “the secret things belong to the LORD”. This refers to the hidden causes which motivate God to discipline His people. The purpose of God’s revelation is not to gratify our curiosity but to secure our obedience. It is not speculative, but practical. Moses expects obedience to God from the people and reminds them that the law was given not only that the Israelites might know what is right, but that they might also do what is right.

Hos 14:8b I am [God is] like a green cypress tree; Your fruit is found in Me. Returning to God and remaining in fellowship with Him is to claim His promises for future grace. Repentance must be followed by restoration. We need to know that God has accepted our broken hearts and now wants to give us a new life. Jesus is our Tree (Vine), we are His branches, apart from Him we can do nothing. It is our purpose to bear His fruits for Him. He is the source of all good works.

Ecc 1:18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief. Ecc 10:1-3 As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honour. (2) The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. (3) Even as fools walk along the road, they lack sense and show everyone how stupid they are. Meanwhile, Solomon said in Proverbs Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. In Eccl 1:18 Solomon refers to worldly wisdom, while Prov 1:7 Solomon refers to Godly Knowledge and Wisdom. Eccl 10:1-3 contrasts between Godly Wisdom against foolishness of worldly wisdom. The tie between “wisdom,” “knowledge,” and the “fear of the LORD” suggests that “knowledge” is more than mere information but centers in the comprehension of God’s will and…

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. In Christ, we live an abiding life, whereby the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and we in Him, by grace through faith and obedience in the Word of God In Christ, there no longer exists an impediment to entering the presence of God if one goes through Jesus Christ. His flesh, slain and risen, becomes the way or entrance into the Most Holy Place. In Christ. the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Col_2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. To live, as we do, in a highly sophisticated, technological society brings with it many benefits and animal comforts. It is not surprising, therefore, that all sorts of occult philosophies and religions are gaining ground in society. Man, who is made in the image of God, must have a spiritual explanation for his own existence. Biblical faith affirms that God has revealed all that is necessary to bring us into a living relationship with Himself and to enable us to travel through this world into His presence.
