1Ti 1:13-14 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. (14) The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. That Paul had broken the Ten Commandments before his conversion is abundantly evident from this verse. He speaks of himself as formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man.. The first sin is a matter of words only. The second describes suffering inflicted on others for their religious beliefs. The third includes the idea of cruelty and abuse. But Paul obtained mercy. Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness– As servant and apostle, Paul concerns the faith of God’s elect and he knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness. God was using Paul to call out a people for Himself and to teach them the truth which is conducive to godly living. It highlights the salvation of a believer is a process. It begins with justification (which is an one-off event when the believer first believed), followed by sanctification (which is a continuous process) and then finally glorification (which is the consummation of the process). Luk 11:34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. In spiritual creation God brings light to the hearts of those in darkness. Confronted with the risen Lord, we became a new creation. The light in believers’ lives is the knowledge of God’s salvation, a glory issuing from and seen in the face of Christ and reflected by us. When people were in the darkness of sin, they had no knowledge of God, no experience of His life and salvation.

Rom 8:17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. The prerequisite of living a life for God as His children in His presence involves the death of Christ to be heir of the inheritance in the Kingdom of God. We are co-heir with Christ’s inheritance if we suffer with Him and hence rise up with Him on His return. As God-man, Lord Jesus is the mediator, who reconciles us to God. His death appeases God’s wrath and fixes our natural enmity towards God. His work on the Cross brings about peace with God, allowing God to be glorified, as well as, restoring the goodness, beauty, order and harmony of God’s creation.

Col_2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. To live, as we do, in a highly sophisticated, technological society brings with it many benefits and animal comforts. It is not surprising, therefore, that all sorts of occult philosophies and religions are gaining ground in society. Man, who is made in the image of God, must have a spiritual explanation for his own existence. Biblical faith affirms that God has revealed all that is necessary to bring us into a living relationship with Himself and to enable us to travel through this world into His presence.
