Deu 17:16 CSB  However, he must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire many horses, for the LORD has told you, ‘You are never to go back that way again.’ Three things about the behavior of the king were singled out. The prohibition against acquiring great numbers of horses meant that on human terms the king’s army, composed mainly of infantry, would be significantly weaker than an enemy’s army with many chariots and cavalry. Yet this was precisely the point. An obedient Israelite king was to depend not on military strength but on the Lord alone. God had already demonstrated His ability to crush a large superior chariot army. Acquiring horses would mean the people would be going to Egypt, where many were available. Returning to the nation’s former land of slavery was unthinkable.

Psa 89:3-4 CSB  The LORD said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn an oath to David my servant:  (4)  ‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’” Selah Faith reverently reminds God of the covenant He had made with David. Because David was His chosen servant, He had sworn that he would never lack heirs to sit on his throne and that his kingdom would endure to all generations. An unbroken dynasty sitting on an everlasting throne!

Mar 10:29-30  “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said, “there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,  (30)  who will not receive a hundred times more, now at this time—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions—and eternal life in the age to come. In another solemn affirmation, Jesus acknowledged that their allegiance to Him and the gospel entailed a break with old ties – home, loved ones, or property (fields), as the case may be. But to everyone who makes the break Jesus promised that all these things will be replaced a hundredfold by new ties with fellow rewarddisciples in this present Age, the time period between Jesus’ First and Second Advents. Then in the Age to come, the future Age following Jesus’ return, each…

Zec 2:3-5  And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was going out, and another angel was coming out to meet him,  (4)  and said to him, “Run, speak to that young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the multitude of men and cattle within it.  (5)  ‘For I,’ declares the LORD, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’” Another angel, possibly coming from the surveyor, gave a message to Zechariah’s interpreting angel to be conveyed to the prophet. That Jerusalem will be a city without walls indicates that the city will overflow its boundaries because of divine blessing. It will need no fortification or protection because of God’s presence. The Lord will be Jerusalem’s protection without and glory within. This promise looks forward to the Lord’s personal presence through the Messiah in the millennial…

Isa 26:12-15  LORD, you will establish peace for us, for you have also done all our work for us.  (13)  LORD our God, lords other than you have owned us, but we remember your name alone.  (14)  The dead do not live; departed spirits do not rise up. Indeed, you have punished and destroyed them; you have wiped out all memory of them.  (15)  You have added to the nation, LORD. You have added to the nation; you are honored. You have expanded all the borders of the land. In the kingdom believers will enjoy the peace God gives and will recognize God’s work on their behalf. They will affirm that they remained true to God even though they will have been under the domination of others. Those who will seek to dominate the remnant will be dead, under God’s judgment. Sheol shall greet the departed spirits. In contrast the…

Gal 5:1-2  For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm then and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery.  (2)  Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all. Paul declared that Christ was the great Liberator who set believers free from bondage. The apostle then appealed to the Galatians to stand firm in that liberty, for having been delivered from slavery to heathenism, they were in danger of becoming entangled in slavery to the Mosaic Law.

Joh 6:27  Don’t work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set his seal of approval on him.” When Jesus said, Do not work for food that spoils, He was not condoning laziness. Rather He was saying that people should expend their efforts for what will last forever. “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”. Physical food is short-lived but spiritual food leads to eternal life. The Son of Man (who has access to heaven) will give people this spiritual food, which is ultimately Christ Himself. God the Father Himself authenticated Jesus’ claim that He is true heavenly “food.”

Deu 29:29  The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. Moses explains that “the secret things belong to the LORD”. This refers to the hidden causes which motivate God to discipline His people. The purpose of God’s revelation is not to gratify our curiosity but to secure our obedience. It is not speculative, but practical. Moses expects obedience to God from the people and reminds them that the law was given not only that the Israelites might know what is right, but that they might also do what is right.

Rom 14:17-18  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,  because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. Personal preferences (e.g. style of worship: Hill songs vs. Old hymns or personal choice of eschatology) are not that important and they are not the sum and substance of the kingdom of God. Only upright living, peace and joy in the sphere of the Holy Spirit are essentials of Christian fellowship and harmony. The Christian who serves Christ in the way of love, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit is pleasing to God and approved by men.
