Psa 37:9-11 CSB For evildoers will be destroyed, but those who put their hope in the LORD will inherit the land. (10) A little while, and the wicked person will be no more; though you look for him, he will not be there. (11) But the humble will inherit the land and will enjoy abundant prosperity. The day is coming when all the wrongs of earth will be righted. At that time the evildoers shall be cut off and the trusting saints will possess all the blessings He has promised. It will not be very long until the wicked vanish from the scene. If you look diligently for them in their usual hangouts your search will be in vain! In that day the meek shall inherit the earth and thoroughly enjoy its unprecedented prosperity. When will that day come? For the church it will begin when the Savior descends into…

1Co 3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become a fool so that he can become wise. In Christian service, as in all of Christian life, there is always the danger of self-deception. Perhaps some of those who came to Corinth as teachers posed as men of extreme wisdom. Any who have an exalted view of their own worldly wisdom must learn that they must become fools in the eyes of the world in order to become wise in God’s estimation.

Rom 12:3 For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one. A believer’s consecration to God and his transformed lifestyle is demonstrated in his exercising his spiritual gifts in the body of Christ. As an apostle of Christ, Paul warned his readers individually – “Do not think of ourself more highly than we ought”. An inflated view of oneself is out of place in the Christian life. Then Paul encouraged us to rather think with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. God has given each believer some faith by which to serve Him. All natural abilities and spiritual gifts are from God. As a result, every Christian should have a proper sense of humility and…

Jas 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, Another element of effective communication is to listen carefully to what others are saying. Knowing this is not our nature. Good listening is particularly important for a peacemaker. It improves your ability to understand others, it shows that you realize you do not have all the answers, and it tells the other person that you value his or her thoughts and opinions. Even if you cannot agree with everything others say or do, your willingness to listen demonstrates respect and shows that you are trying to understand their perspective. This can help create an atmosphere of mutual respect that will improve communication. With God’s help you can develop listening skills.

Col 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, When we need to talk with others about their faults, we should ask for God’s help to resist our tendency to hammer people into submission by dwelling on their failures. Of course, we sometimes need to show them where they have sinned and fallen short of God’s ways. But that should not be the primary focus of our words, because judgment inevitably discourages. With God’s help we can instead offer hope by drawing attention to the wonderful news that God has forgiven our sins through Christ and is eager to help us change our ways.

Isa 64:4 From ancient times no one has heard, no one has listened to, no eye has seen any God except you who acts on behalf of the one who waits for him. The remnant implores God to rend the heavens and come down in fury on His adversaries. They recall previous interventions of God, unique manifestations of the only true God who acts for the one who waits for Him. They remember that God shows favor to those who delight in practical righteousness, but they have incurred His anger by their long-continued sins, and wonder if there is any hope for people like them to be saved.

2Co 10:8 For if I boast a little too much about our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I will not be put to shame. As an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul had been given authority in connection with the churches he established. The aim of this authority was to build up the saints in their most holy faith. The false teachers, on the other hand, were exercising an authority among the Corinthians which they had never received from the Lord. Not only so, but they were exercising this authority in a manner to tear down the saints rather than build them up. So Paul says that even if he boasted more abundantly in the authority, which the Lord gave him, he would not be put to shame for it. His claims would eventually prove to be true.
Mat 20:25-27 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. (26) “It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, (27) and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; While some people (rulers and high officials) lord it over others, the disciples were not to do so. Greatness in the Lord’s kingdom does not come through rulership or authority but through service. Their goal should be serving, not ruling. Those most highly esteemed will be those who serve, those who are humble.

Jas 4:6 But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. God opposes the proud. To the humble, however, God gives grace. Whether a believer is called to resist his human spirit which tends toward envy or to rejoice in the Holy Spirit who jealously yearns for each believer’s edification, the call is to shun pride and to submit humbly to God’s authority. The cure for conflict is a humble spirit which is rewarded by God’s unmerited favor.

Joh 13:1 Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. The day before the crucifixion, the Lord Jesus knew that the time had come for Him to die, to rise again, and to go back to heaven. First and foremost, Jesus loved His Father and, in humility, obeyed Him unto death, in order that God’s justice concerning salvation is upheld. He also loved His own, that is, those who were true elected believers, to an infinite degree. His love for us is from the eternity past, and shall continue throughout eternity.
