Daily Devotional 7-10-2021
Joh 13:1 Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. The day before the crucifixion, the Lord Jesus knew that the time had come for Him to die, to rise again, and to go back to heaven. First and foremost, Jesus loved His Father and, in humility, obeyed Him unto death, in order that God’s justice concerning salvation is upheld. He also loved His own, that is, those who were true elected believers, to an infinite degree. His love for us is from the eternity past, and shall continue throughout eternity.
